EVERY 15 MINUTES A MAN COMMITTING SUICIDE DUE TO FAMILY PROBLEM IN INDIA

According to male suicide data of NCRB for year 2020, the suicide rate indicating male suicide is almost double of the women’s suicide.

The NCRB has recorded 87180 male suicide in year 2010 while it is 108532 in year 2020. Overall 13.7% increase in male suicide has been recorded in year 2020 in comparison with year 2010. The data also reveal that, every 15 minutes a man committing suicide due to family problem.

An increase of 61.6% in male suicide has been recorded due to family problem. The number increased from 31856 in 2010 to 51477 in 2020.

The ratio of male-female suicide victim has been recorded 70.9 : 29 for year 2020, in 2019 it was recorded 70.2 : 29.8.
